A Vision Born from Listening to Patients
TrichoMed was created by a team of seasoned professionals who saw the gap in traditional hair loss care — especially for women who felt dismissed or misunderstood. Too often, patients were told their hair loss was “normal” or “nothing to worry about.” We knew there had to be a better way.
Our founders, Trichologists, Doctors, and Hair Restoration Surgeons, joined forces to design a clinic where patients finally receive the time, attention, and expertise they deserve. Through advanced diagnostics, medical collaboration, and compassionate guidance, we help each person find answers, healing, and confidence.

Caroline Ruggiero, Certified Trichologist
Caroline holds an Honours Degree from the University of Toronto and is certified by the International Association of Trichologists (I.A.T) with over a decade of experience treating moderate to complex hair and scalp disorders. She is also proud to serve on the I.A.T Board and is a regular delegate at the European Hair Research Congress.
Caroline’s commitment to education is evident in her extensive postgraduate studies. She is a graduate of the Evidence Based Hair Fellowship Training Program (EBHF) — an international mentorship led by renowned Dermatologist Dr. Jeff Donovan dedicated to advancing global expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of hair loss for physicians and allied professionals. Additionally, her studies include training at the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) and certification as a Polarized Light Technician through the Italian Academy of Hair Microscopy (IAHM). As one of Canada’s first practicing Trichologists, Caroline applies an evidence-based, multidisciplinary approach to treating hair loss and scalp disorders, focusing on restoring health through science-backed care—avoiding quick-fix solutions and prioritizing real, measurable results for Canadians. -
Dr. Nikki Shah, Family Medicine
Dr. Shah is a licensed Family Physician with certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. She received her Medical Degree at McMaster University and completed her residency training in Family Medicine at the University of Toronto, where she served as Chief Resident at the Mississauga Hospital site. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine and has special interests in women's health, cosmetic procedures, and preventative care. Outside of work, she enjoys singing, recreational volleyball, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Jonathan Huber, MD, Hair Restoration Surgeon
Dr. Huber was born and raised in Ottawa, obtaining his medical degree from Queen’s University, in Kingston, and completing his surgical residency there where he served as co-Chief of his training program. He joined together with Dr. Robert Jones in 2018, becoming the co-founding partner of Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons. Dr. Huber is the only hair restoration surgeon in the world who has trained this closely with Dr. Jones. This intensive training with the world’s leading hair restoration surgeon has allowed Dr. Huber’s skills and artistry to far exceed that of his peers. Dr. Huber is one of the only hair transplant surgeons in Canada skilled in beard, body hair, and no-shave FUE harvesting techniques.

Dr. Ashlin Alexander, MD, FRCSC
As a board-certified, dual-fellowship trained Facial Cosmetic Surgeon, Dr. Alexander has devoted his entire career to the specialized treatment of the hair, nose and face, and now brings the renown of New York City and the expertise of Australia back home to Toronto.
Having trained with the top hair transplant surgeons in Canada and the US, Dr. Alexander has an unparalleled understanding of the anatomy and aesthetics of the face. He brings a unique perspective to hair transplantation with him to Toronto Hair Transplant Surgeons, which, in the past 12 years of practice, has brought him to the forefront of hair transplant surgery.
